Sat, 14 Mar 2026

          Ahoy there Froggers
1.          Two new 2026 releases for you this week, and a brand new band for us to add to this   weeks BFRH Playlist .  Country Joe & The Fish - The Fish Cheer & I-Feel-Like-I'm-Fixin'-To-Die Rag the reason should be obvious, but he also recently passed way at the age of 84.

2.      Robin Trower because there is a remastered repackaged release from the live in Sweden album.  Recorded at the Stockholm Concert Hall in Sweden on 3 February 1975 for the Swedish Broadcasting Corporation, it was released on vinyl in 1976.  we give you all the info you will need, so come inside and find out about it

3.    Mule fans check out this Cactus track if you haven’t already.

4.    This weeks BFRH long song of the week is of historical importance. If not for Voodoo Chile there would have been no voodoo child. Voodoo Chile" was recorded at the Record Plant in New York City, after a late night jam session with Hendrix Experience drummer Mitch Mitchell, organist Steve Winwood, and bassist Jack Cassady. The song became the basis for "Voodoo Child (Slight Return)", recorded by the Experience the next day and one of Hendrix's best-known songs.  In the UK, "Voodoo Chile" was also used as the title of the 1970 single release of "Voodoo Child (Slight Return)", which has caused confusion regarding the two songs.

  There you go Frog

Episode 1174: Uncut & Unsigned March 10 Fingerless

Tue, 10 Mar 2026

Part 1: Join Tony and Shippa as they use their feet to count the number of times this artist has appeared on the show, and they can inform you that it indeed twice. No need for fingers…Marc Cheeseman is a fine example of the benefits of going fingerless…in fact, there is a good chance that Shippa is going to go fingerless when he goes to see Mr Cheeseman with his band Fingerless later this week…no bad luck on this Friday 13th! It’s the band’s official album launch, and the songs on it are definitely guaranteed to get two thumbs up! An excellent repeat visit to promote Repeater, the new album.

Part 2: Tony and Shippa get stuck into some new submissions from up and coming artists in the second half of the show. Catch tracks from STAHR (Brisbane), The Great Emu War Casualties (Melbourne), Bad//Dreems (Adelaide), The Petrov Affair (Sydney), Kelly Brouhaha (Northern Rivers, NSW), Heavenly (UK), Jazzparty (Melbourne), Kris Mizzi (Melbourne), moonsea (Melbourne) and Mac The Knife (South Sydney), with Shippa’ Surprise describing Shippa as a Happy Pessimistic People Person Introvert…how did they know?!!!
